Bookkeeping clean-up for Etsy and Shopify sellers
LedgerReady cleans up the books for Etsy, Shopify and craft-fair sellers: payouts recorded as sales, marketplace fees and ads split out, materials and packaging as cost of goods sold, and shipping labels as postage, in a categorised ledger with a monthly P&L. From $20.
What you should know
- Etsy and Shopify deposits are usually net payouts. Fees charged separately appear as their own lines, and we categorise them as fees, not negative sales.
- Materials and packaging bought for products (wax, clay, jars, mailers) go to Cost of Goods Sold, so you can see gross margin.
- Shipping label services (Pirate Ship, Shippo, USPS Click-N-Ship) are grouped as Shipping & Postage.
- Amazon and PayPal purchases are flagged for you to confirm, because the statement line does not say whether it was stock, supplies or personal.
What LedgerReady delivers for this
A categorised ledger, P&L summary, reconciliation check and the import files you need. On our synthetic test set (two sample businesses the rules were never tuned on, 317 transactions): 100.0% of transactions extracted exactly, 10 of 10 statements reconciled to the penny, 89.6% categorised correctly first time, 14.2% sent to you to confirm, 2.2% wrong without a flag (7 of 317). Every flagged row needs a human review before import. How we measured.
