Receipt photos matched to transactions
LedgerReady reads your receipt photos (merchant, date, total) and matches each one to the bank or card transaction it paid for, so every expense in your ledger shows which receipt backs it, and receipts with no matching transaction are listed for you.
What you should know
- Matching uses the exact total and a date window of a few days, because card transactions often post 1-2 days after the purchase.
- If a photo is blurry and the total is misread, the subtotal + tax = total check catches it and matching falls back to merchant name and date, with the line flagged.
- In our synthetic test, 15 of 15 receipts in the held-out set were matched to the right transaction.
- Photos work best flat, well lit and uncropped; crumpled thermal receipts read worse.
What LedgerReady delivers for this
A categorised ledger, P&L summary, reconciliation check and the import files you need. On our synthetic test set (two sample businesses the rules were never tuned on, 317 transactions): 100.0% of transactions extracted exactly, 10 of 10 statements reconciled to the penny, 89.6% categorised correctly first time, 14.2% sent to you to confirm, 2.2% wrong without a flag (7 of 317). Every flagged row needs a human review before import. How we measured.
