Bank statements to a Wave CSV upload
LedgerReady turns PDF bank and card statements into CSV files that Wave's statement upload accepts (date, description and amount columns), one file per account, plus a categorised ledger and P&L summary to guide categorising in Wave.
What you should know
- Wave's help centre says a CSV must contain an amount, a date and a description column (Wave support, as shown in search results 2026-10-14).
- During upload Wave asks you which column holds the date, description and amount, so clean headers save time.
- Our Wave files use ISO dates (YYYY-MM-DD), which avoid day/month mix-ups.
- If your bank feed already covers recent months, import only the older months to avoid duplicates.
What LedgerReady delivers for this
A categorised ledger, P&L summary, reconciliation check and the import files you need. On our synthetic test set (two sample businesses the rules were never tuned on, 317 transactions): 100.0% of transactions extracted exactly, 10 of 10 statements reconciled to the penny, 89.6% categorised correctly first time, 14.2% sent to you to confirm, 2.2% wrong without a flag (7 of 317). Every flagged row needs a human review before import. How we measured.
